Hours of Operation

At its regular meeting in June, the Library Board of Trustees will adopt a schedule of hours of operation for the Canton Public Library to follow during the ensuing fiscal year. 

The adoption of an operating schedule will be developed in consultation with the Library Director and will take into account the personnel and budgetary resources that will be available to the library during the fiscal year about to begin.

During the Fiscal Year July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, the library’s hours of operation will be as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m., July 10 through September 4
                  10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., September 11 through June 25
  • Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., November 7 through March 27

The library will be closed on all days designated as holidays by the Town of Canton and on which the Canton Town Hall will be closed.

The Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to amend this schedule at any time as changing needs and financial resources demand.
