About the Children's RoomThe Canton Public Library works to encourage a love of reading and learning in all children and in the adults who love and care for them. We provide current, responsive, high interest materials and programs all throughout the year for children from preschool through age 18. Children's Room materials include a variety of well chosen fiction and non-fiction in paperback, hardcover, audio and dvd/video formats. The collection also includes a Parent Shelf Collection, including our popular Grandparent Bags and Theme Kits. We also have a variety of magazines for children aged preschool through 8th grade. Children's Department programs include the extraordinarily popular annual Summer Reading Program as well as Preschool Story Times and other special programs throughout the year. Signups for our preschool story times occur every September and every January. Please check the website for exact registration dates. Visits for classroom groups and preschools are available by advance arrangement. Note to Teachers Special Links: 2011 Summer Reading Logs:
