The Friends of the Canton Public LibraryThe Friends of the Canton Public Library is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1964 and incorporated in 1979. Our goals are:
As a result of Friends’ fundraising and volunteer efforts in the past, the library has been able to purchase many collection items, programs, equipment, and services not provided through its operating budget. Some recent examples have included:
We want and need you to become a Friend! Whether you’re willing to support us with you time, your talents, or your money, please join us. Membership categories are: $10 Individual Membership To join the Friends, please fill out and return a membership form to the library, or mail to: FCPL, Inc. Book Sale The Friends annual book sale is held on the Saturday and Sunday following Labor Day every year. In 2010, our book sale dates will be September 11 and 12. Volunteers for pre-sale sorting, pricing, and set-up, and then for assistance on the sales days, are always needed! Can you lend a hand? Newsletter Friends receive newsletters throughout the year to keep them up-to-date on library information and programs, and on Friends activities. Please join the Friends of the Canton Public Library
