"Four Seasons in the Valley"
A Photographic Exhibit of the Works of Carol Lowbeer

Blue PondFor the months of May and June, Canton Public Library's Gallery features "Four Seasons in the Valley," a photographic exhibit of the works of Carol Lowbeer. Prominent in the show by the Farmington photographer will be scenes and landscapes of the Farmington Valley, with an emphasis on Collinsville.

"Photography gives me the opportunity to catch the sweetest moments of life-the sun breaking through clouds, a tree surrounded by a mysterious mist, a couple looking lovingly at each other," said Ms Lowbeer. "Once captured, this wonderful moment stays with us forever."

Ms Lowbeer, originally from Oklahoma, has lived in a number of urban settings, including Boston, Seattle, New York, and Chicago. She has worked overseas and domestically for a large hotel corporation in sales and marketing as a convention coordinator before returning to her lifelong love of photography in 2001. She combines her photographs with music and words to create musical slideshows of nature and special events.

Her work has been featured in community newspapers and numerous venues including the Audubon Society's annual exhibition in Glastonbury, Elizabeth Park's Pond House Gallery, Barney Library's Hoppin Gallery, and the Farmington Public Library. She is a member of the Charter Oak Photographic Society of West Hartford and the Connecticut Professional Photography Association.

Photos in the exhibit and other nature collections can be viewed on the photographer's website, www.caroleenaphotography.com
