The library supports the ALA Freedom to Read Statement and the Library Bill of Rights. It promotes library materials and services throughout the community, including the schools, other town agencies and the business community. It cooperates in resource sharing, such as Interlibrary Loan in order to satisfy the individual needs of patrons and also cooperates with other local groups and agencies to further the best interests of the community.
